The College properties are in and around the heart of the Jewish community; allowing access to synagogues, kosher food shops and a range of community resources.

The aim in all of our residences is to support our students to develop to their fullest potential in the time they are with us. Also to treat all students as individuals, with individual educational, care and social needs prohrammes. We aim to provide a tailor made service and person centred plan of support to help each individual develop in his or her own right and help them during their first steps towards independence.

We recognise the need to promote individuality and embrace diversity and to promote and celebrate the cultural and religious identity of the individual.

We provide a high quality living environment and service and continuously strive to promote a holistic approach to education and care where physical, social and psychological needs are given equal importance. Recognising individual's strengths is paramount at Langdon College.

Privacy

We strive to retain as much privacy as possible for our students by;

• Giving help in intimate situations as discreetly as possible
• Encourage students to furnish and equip their own rooms as they choose and use them for entertaining family and visitors if they wish
• Providing locks for bedrooms, storage or belongings if they so wish
• Privacy when using the telephone, opening and reading post etc (depending upon level of support required)
• Ensuring the confidentiality of information the home holds about students.
